Thursday Thunder – Junior Training

MAD MTBC runs a skills and drills program for school aged children (big and little) on Thursday afternoons called “Thursday Thunder”. Starting at 4.00 pm, kids will be broken into groups to learn and practice key components of mountain biking such as bike control, braking and cornering all while hanging out with like minded riders and making new friends. They will then have the opportunity to head out onto the tracks with accredited coaches and apply their new skills.

Thursday Thunder is $15 per term and is run every Thursday during the school term, notices are posted weekly on facebook and weekly entries are made through entry boss. A Thursday Thunder member t-shirt is issued once a year to members and there are time trials and lots of fun games and giveaways towards the end of the year . This is fun based learning and is open to all skill level, all you need to start is a mountain bike, Australian standard helmet, closed in shoes, water bottle and a sense of adventure.
